BBC Woman's Hour announced today that Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's 'Half of a Yellow Sun' has been chosen as the best of the best book written by a woman in the last decade.

South Africa's Stock Exchange Suspends MTN's Stocks
The problems of telecommunications giants MTN seemed to increase yesterday after the South Africa stock exchange suspended trading it's shares. A senior official at the exchange's surveillance department, Peter
Redman said the suspension took effect from this morning. "Yes, trading
in MTN shares has been suspended and the information was broadcast
across the trading platform".

Abandoned New Born Baby Found In Bush In Ilorin
A new born baby was found in the early hours of yesterdays morning. He was found abandoned in a polythene bag in a bush in the Tanke area of Ilorin. The baby was found by some good hearted residents of the area, cleaned up and then handed to a motherless babies home. More pics after the cut.

Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu arrived today the late
Emir of Borgu’s palace to join a host of others to bid him farewell. The
late Emir of Borgu, Alhaji Haliru Dantoro Kitoro III (Mai Borgu), who
was a former Minister and ex-senator died on Friday in a German hospital

Father Of Two Tortured To Death By Policemen In Sokoto
When Sadiya Shehu Shinkafi of Shinkafi, Zamfara State, sent her younger brother, Shehu Yahaya, to buy some chickens at the Teke market in the neighbouring Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, she never knew she would never see him alive again. His lifeless body was reportedly found in a nearby bush.
